Frequently asked questions
What is the rental deposit?
It is an amount blocked on an account in your name, for the benefit of the landlord, for the whole term of the lease. It is returned to you at the end of the lease, minus any damage noted in the check-out inventory.
How does the inventory of fixtures work?
The check-in inventory is drawn up jointly, in your presence and the landlord's, before or at the start of the rental. It describes the condition of each room and serves as the reference when you leave.
Can my rent increase?
The rent can be indexed once a year, on the anniversary date of the lease, according to the health index. The landlord sends you the calculation in writing.
What do the charges cover?
The charges are paid either as provisions, settled once a year against the actual costs, or as a fixed lump sum. The lease states which one applies and what it covers.
What notice must I give?
The notice period depends on your contract and its term. Check your lease or ask the landlord before sending your notice.
Who do I contact with a question?
The landlord remains your contact for the lease, the rent and repairs. Spot on Loc provides the tool, not the management of the property.
